WHAT WE DO
The Help Your Neighbor Fund, in conjunction with the Shawnee Mission Public School District, selected Santa Fe Trail Elementary School as the pilot program for children to receive assistance. The program was successfully launched in the 2012-2013 school year. Please watch the testimonial video from Santa Fe Trail Elementary about the successful impact the Help Your Neighbor Fund has had on their school community. The testimonial video speaks volumes about the value and the assistance the Help Your Neighbor Fund has already accomplished in our community.
The Help Your Neighbor fund will provide money to pay for the cost of school breakfasts and lunches for students identified by teachers or administrators who have a need but are not enrolled or otherwise eligible in the Federal School Lunch Program (Federal Child Nutrition Program).
Please consider donating today so more children and more schools can be assisted in our community! All donations are 100% tax deductible. A tax deductible donation of $63 will feed a child (both breakfast and lunch) for one full month and a tax deductible donation of $630 will feed a child for a full school year!
